In mythology many of the so-called monsters are sublime in their nature, encompassing both the light and the dark, much like humans. Many of us, when troubled or threatened wear our gorgon mask, the face of Medusa, to drive others away. Could it be this dark face we wear is hiding our light and vulnerable selves? Unlike the mythical monsters, we have been given the blessing of choice to decide which face we want to show the world. Light or dark, the path we take is up to us.
